Instagram ~ Bullies Things we love things we despise

You can find my sisters and brothers and  myself on Instagram. We love looking at the pictures. Our Account can be found at this link.  We all enjoy the visual aspects of this social media platform

HOWEVER...
Whats is up with the bullying on it? A dear friend of our mom's has been being bullied on it and well we think that is just not cool. Hiding behind your computer to say mean things is a don't.

Have you seen Bambi?

Thumper just summed up my feelings on this. So just don't type the hateful things. If you are jealous of someone else for their popularity, their belongings, their looks, their talents, then say something nice or just keep on scrolling and say nothin' at all.

Be like my friend Thumper. Kindness goes a long way and makes you a better person. No one wants to follow the mean girl or boy they do it because we fear the alternative. In the end the mean girl in the movie always changes her ways, being super popular isn't always what it is cracked up to be quite often the popular people are lonely. Even with a crowd of people hanging around you that doesn't mean you aren't really alone. Quite often these people are there to bask in the light of the popularity but not for that popular person.

It is far better to have a tight knit group of friends who have your back and appreciate you for you.

The best way to stop bullying is to not be one yourself, including on the internet.
Let kindness be your way of life.

If you are being bullied, Taylor Swift said it best, "Shake It Off" and believe me I know this is easier said than done, but deep down you know you. There is something you are awesome at that bothers those that are hating on you. Keep on being awesome at that and ignore them.

If the bullying is physical TELL AN ADULT YOU TRUST... a teacher, a guidance counselor, the bus driver, the school officer, someone from yourchurch, your parents, your grandparents, your friends parents, your neighbor....don't suffer in silence. Telling is not tattling, it is standing up for yourself.

Whatever you do don't fight back. You will get you in trouble. It seems the bully can strike first and nothing will happen but if you hit back you will get in HEAPS of trouble and it isn't worth it.

Mom was bullied, and she is grateful it was prior to the internet being a thing.

She said she had her band. So if you are in a sport or a dancer or in band or a club those people usually will have your back.
I know that bullying existed since forever and I don't believe that it will end but how you can make a change is by trying to rise above and not let it get to you. You can rise above by not being one in turn. You can rise above by standing up to bullies when you see it happening, helping out someone, be a friend to someone else.

Rise above bullying, stay awesome, spread kindness and love.

Love Candace
